If you follow me you've already read what a fan I am of Nash and his wildly imaginative gross out series, Skinfection Trilogy. However if your new or maybe you're just catching up after taking a week off at some tropical destination let me give you a tiny bit of background...
Skinfection Trilogy is comprised of three (obviously) shorts, Part 1 My Main Squeeze, Part 2 Blackhead and Part 3 Lip Locked, being the conversation of the day. Each piece works as a stand alone, but together they come to be this wonderful anthology of weirdly emotional, stomach churningly gross, yet downright laugh out loud fun. They range from about 8 to 18 minutes each, and are literally some of the freshest shorts I have seen in a long time, do yourself a favor, tune in, and check these bad boys out! Side note turns out Chris has a segment in the upcoming ABCs of Death 2, that I will definitely be watching for!
So anyway onto Lip Locked, we open with a couple chatting, the female sipping wine in the living room, the male checking himself in the mirror in the bathroom. Fairly quickly it becomes obvious that these two are former lovers, and their conversation turns into a verbal assault that will make your toes curl and your heart break. Then as if on cue (haha guess they were) words and clothes are pushed aside, as things get very steamy, but just when you think you have an idea of where this one is going it does something unexpected that is just WOW!
Of all three of the films I think this one is my favorite for two reasons, first the emotional outburst in this one is completely engrossing. The harshness of the words will tug at your heart, while almost certainly bringing to mind some character of your own life, rubbing your face in the raw truth of it. Second for the twists it takes, it is by far the most intense of the three, with an edge of your seat tension and riveting drive that refuses to let you look away! Kudos to Nash and his team for a job exceptionally well done!
